Greetings journeymen and journeywomen of steam powered travels into the great unknown. We present to you the latest invention from the renowned explorer, Professor John M. Blaylock, The BENNETT VALVE OCULAR OVERMASK.

This is the very thing one needs when traveling through uncertain continents and darknesses that are otherwise unexplored since the overmask is perfectly suited to assist with the engineering and other daily miracles associated with airship voyages. The modified sapphire infused analytical lens is specially designed to allow for exact measurements of steam instrumentation and mechanisms while the visio-enhanced grid is a powered collector of light particles for enhancing site in darker conditions. The manual valves situated on the sides of the goggles offer remote adjustment of steam valves that otherwise might be out of an adventure’s reach or hazardous to the touch. The pressure release attachment keeps the wearer safe from accidental over pressure and there is an internal monitoring gauge for keeping an eye on where the danger level of your work may be. Composed of enhanced, hardened alloy, the spectacle body is geared to assist with engine disasters as well as the odd attack from lurking grimfiends that might hitch a ride in your vessel’s conduit systems. The Bennett Valve goggles are an excellent addition to your adventurer’s equipment stash.

These modified steampunk goggles have been painted by hand and embellished with realist components to help achieve a true alternate reality Victoriana look. They can be used to enhance any steampunk, dieselpunk or Teslapunk look. Try on a top hat to add the right amount of bizarre detail for a party or convention. Wear them on your head to give a more authentic cosplay look or even to create an anime-like style all your own. The base goggles started out as a pair of regular cup style welding goggles which have been hand painted to give a realistic metal look. This has in turn been painted over with three layers of clear coat to protect the finish. All of the added parts have been secured with bolts and screws as well as hardened epoxy. The goggles are now meant to be used as a costume accent piece and no longer to protect the eyes from actual danger. These goggles are very sturdy but should still be treated as a costume item.
